Players over the past few weeks have commented about the exceptionally high standard at which our course is being presented. Matt, Adam, Colin and Tom have put so much of themselves into the course and we, the players, are extremely grateful.
The divot situation is improving slowly, and I thank the players for their increased diligence. Don't let up now though, keep putting your finish on the course for everyone else to enjoy.
Thanks again to Regina and the crew for feeding the members over the past nearly 7 months. My wife and I look forward to receiving Tim's email on each Sunday with the following week's menu. Here it is in case you missed it.

Wednesday 7th October. A great opportunity for everyone to relax between rounds of the Club Championship qualifying. A lovely day with 58 players in the field. Darryl Purchase (0) and Dick Hiser (14) posted a collective 44 points to beat Stephen Heywood (37) and John Bragg (22) on a count back The best single score went to Brian Hanrahan (14) with his 41 points. Balls were won down to 42 points via count back.

Friday 9th October. The "Nugget". 18 players (11 men and 7 ladies) turned out throughout the day to enjoy the course setup and preparation for the following day's Championships. John Bragg (22) posted 21 points to beat Fran Dubiez (26) and Pam Barker (10) by one stroke. In fourth was Mary O'Connor (22) with 20 points. Balls were won down to 18 points via count back. With daylight saving time now established and the weather warming up, a late afternoon tee time followed by a refreshing beverage seems to be a popular addition to the Nugget routine.

The Lifestyle Championship was won for 2020 by Scott Olding (12) with scratch scores of 93 and 84 and a total of 177.
Following intense scrutiny the following draws have been produced. They are available on the club notice board and in the pro shop. Please ensure you fill in the results after each match is completed. The 1/4 finals (i.e. the first round) must be completed on or by Sunday 25th October, the semi final on or by Sunday 8th November, and the final will be held on Sunday 22nd November. Congratulations to everyone who participated in this year's Championship qualification, and good luck to those going into the knockout phase. Just a reminder, the Open is played over 36 holes, B and C grades over 18 holes of Match Play.
"The best place to refine your swing is, of course, right out on the practice area........ You will have an opportunity to make the same mistakes over and over again so that you no longer have to think about them, and they become part of your game".
