Christmas Ham’s and Turkey.
Our thanks must go to our great chef, Rob Traz (That Canadian Guy) and his wonderful staff, for the effort they put in to providing and cooking members requests for Ham’s and Turkey’s over Christmas. By all reports, they were fabulous and took a lot of the hard work out of providing a feast for members families over the festive season. It was a very successful initiative and members were most appreciative. Well done to Rob and his staff.
The rain last week arrived just in time to save the surrounds and fill the dam. The whole course benefited from the deluge of 59mm over four days. As always, there is a downside. Our great ground staff could not get the mowers on the course without damaging the fairways on Friday and the bunkers were unplayable. In order to offer the course in the best condition possible for a medal round, the decision was taken to change the monthly medal round to next Saturday and compete in Stableford event last Saturday. Obviously, our members and guests were undaunted as 83 players turned up in beautiful conditions on Saturday with Roberto Ratalino winning with a great round of 43 points. Alan Turpie picked up a nice Pro-pin of $192.00 The course will be given the necessary workover this week and I am confident will be in pristine condition for next Saturdays play.
