On the August 9th the players held their annual dinner to celebrate their participation in the 2018 pennant season. Although the end results were not as they hoped their enjoyment of the competition and the close bonds they forged were a victory in itself.
Individual performances that are worth a mention. The coveted "David" trophy was won by Tony Rourke for his consistent results. Brian Hanrahan for his 100% win record, that he only played one game doesn't diminish his achievement !

Particular thanks to Don who has been the driving force behind our White Horse Cup involvement for some number of years. Don is always looking for new players.  12th Hole Renovation Work has commenced on the renovation of our 12th hole made possible to a great degree by a very generous donation by one of our members -Jim Dickson. This initiative is part of your board's ongoing program of course improvement to make it more attractive to longer markers and visitors without sacrificing it's challenge appeal to our low handicap players. The earthworks are now complete and new irrigation will be installed this week then the new area will be seeded. Damian projects the new fairway will be playable in eight weeks depending on favourable conditions. |  The temporary tee will be in use until this time. Handicapping will not be affected during the renovation and we have advice from NSW golf that our course rating does not have to be reviewed. This work is designed to improve the playing surface and aesthetics of your course and we appreciate your patience during this short period. |
NEW RULES OF GOLF TO TAKE EFFECT FROM JANUARY 2019
New rules for the game of golf take effect from the 1st January 2019 and I urge all members to make themselves conversant with these rule changes before they come into force. Available in the club house are copies of the Players Edition of the Rules of Golf and a members leaflet highlighting "The Main Changes" as shown below. Please take one of each.
