CAPTAIN'S BLOG - NEWS

With the Internet down and the continuing issues we are having with the Telstra lines, access to the results sheets is not possible. Until the problem is resolved we will post a copy of the results on this blog. Saturday's results are attached for your information. Congratulations to the Medal winners  in tough conditions. Also we competed for the inaugural Austen Richardson Memorial Tankard won by Jim Phillips. Jim will take great advantage of our members over the month of March, requesting they fill the Tankard for a toast the Austen and the club. Austen's Son in Law,  Scott Campbell and his Grandson,Tom Angus were in attendance to present the Tankard.

As many members will be aware, Golf Illawarra cancelled all Pennants games, including the White Horse Cup, which were to be played yesterday. Unfortunately, this meant all scores were shared as if they were a draw. As Sunday was to be the last round of qualifications before the finals, it now results that neither of our teams can compete further and that our season is now at an end. You can't help Mother nature. I wish to congratulate  Don Barker, Captains, David Boyd and David Burgess and all the players for their dedicated performance this year. We will lament over a few beverages at the White Horse Cup dinner later in the year and discuss strategies for our next attack.
