Patrons Trophy presented by Brian Lamb to Alec Dietsch and Damian Gair

The patron's trophy was won by Alec Dietsch and Damian Gair on Saturday 11th February with a net 67.5. Our belated photo shows Patron Brian Lamb presenting the trophy to Alec with the ever elusive Damian Gair absent from the proceedings. Many may think Damian doesn't exist as we never seem to be able to get a photograph. Please be assured he does , evidenced by the great presentation of the course in these trying conditions.

Modernising the of Rules of Golf by R&A

Golf NSW has put out a leaflet advising that the R&A are looking at changing several of the Rules of Golf and are seeking feedback. Maybe will all have an opinion on what those changes should be or maybe we are happy with the Rules and just leave them as they are. However, if you would like to say something, please copy and paste the following link into your browser, http://www.golf.org.au/modernisation which will get you to Golf NSW, with further links for explanation and voicing those opinions should you wish. As a member, you can reply individually, however not on behalf of the Club, without express permission from the Board.

As the photo shows, members of Dad's Army were having a fight with the bushes when David Boyd took the photo. The army won and the course always looks better for their efforts. They meet every Thursday, weather permitting, for a 2 hour working session before refreshments, so any members who wish to join them would be most welcome.

Peter Watson & Pascale Timores accepting Jock Rossell Trophy.

As previously advised, trophies will be presented, together with a $50.00 voucher, as they are won on the day. On Saturday 21st January, John Jones won the H.A. Murdoch Trophy with 41 points. On Saturday 28th January, Grant Blanchard won the Sefton Cullen Trophy Anniversary Cup with a score of 68 on a C/B from Tony Hobson. On Saturday 11th February, the Patron's Trophy was won by Alec Dietsch and Damian Gair with a net score of 67.5 and on Saturday 18th February the Bill Chrystal Trophy was won by Roberto Ratilino with a PAR score of -4 . Also on the 18th the Jock Rossell Trophy was contested and won by Peter Watson and Pascal Timores who not only receive a trophy to commemorate the day, but will have their names inscribed on the Honour Board for all posterity. There was some discussion between players whose name would go on first, however the ever magnanimous Pascal relinquished the honour to Peter. Those Trophy winners who are yet to be credited with their $50.00 will be pleasantly surprised in the next few days. In order to keep you informed, results sheets from 28th January to 4th March are attached. Copies always hang from the club House notice board.
