![]() ON Saturday, after early golf, my partners and myself retired to the members room for the obligatory drink. As it was lunch time, we glanced at the specials board behind the bar and noticed a Chorizo Hot Dog with Caramelised Onions and sauces, complimented with a cup of chips, on special for $14.50. After savouring this delight, I can tell you it is the best Hot Dog I have ever eaten and the Chef, Regina, should be congratulate on the quality and presentation of the meal. Members are encouraged to use the kitchen as that is the only way it can survive.
![]() On Wednesday December 21st, just in time for Christmas, Piero Dal Bianco hit off on the 11th tee not knowing that this would be one on the most memorable days of his life. As many aging golfers have a "Bucket List" including a Hole in One and never achieve that thrill, imagine how Piero felt as the ball rolled into the hole. Piero is welcomed to the elite group of players who have achieved this feat and he will have his name inscribed on the "Hole in One" Board in the members room. The Captain presented Piero with the "Hole in One" tie as a memento of the occasion. Our pictures show Piero with a smile befitting a winner and in the back ground, his practice balls surrounding the flag. Members should take note, the more you practice the luckier you get. Piero was unaware of the tradition of a bottle of Scotch on the Bar and will donate a bottle this Saturday so members can help him celebrate the event. Well done Piero. ![]() The Friday afternoon 12 hole competition will recommence tomorrow, 06/01/17, from 2.30pm. In order to keep members informed of their progress scores, a schedule, completed by the Pro shop, is attached for your information. Only those members who have played 5 rounds so far, have had their scores added for comparison. Remember, it is the 5 best scores completed in the competition over 20 weeks, which concludes on March 10, 2017. You now have 10 more games to record those 5 best scores. Many members are on holidays at the moment, so it is a great chance to jump ahead of the pack. Due to the uncertainty of the number of players tomorrow, the club cannot provide nibbles or hamburgers. As a trial, Pizzas can be ordered and delivered to the terrace at members cost, if you wish. Menu's can be discussed and Pizzas ordered after the competition. Good luck in the remaining games. ![]()
