Well done to the Bowral men and women who competed in the first round of the White Horse Cup at our course yesterday. Team Bowral 1 won 5.5 to 1.5 over Nowra GC; while Team Bowral 2 won 4 and 3 over Wollongong. A great start to the WHC campaign for 2023. Bowral 1 is on top on the leader board while Bowral 2 is second by 0.5 of a point. See the tables below and some action from the day.
We hosted 84 players in 12 teams yesterday... a big thanks to Matt's team and our volunteers for the excellent course condition. And thanks to Paul, Dennis and Craig for running the all day BBQ. It was great to see the club so busy. Bowral put on it's best summers day for us.
As with every week in the WHC, next Sunday is a "must win" round. Team 1 play second placed Sussex Inlet at Nowra and Team 2 play The Vale at Wollongong. Gook luck!!

Hickory Championships...
 | As previously mentioned, Bowral GC will be hosting the NSW Hickory Championships in late April. This event is open to all and there will be plenty of sets of the old sticks to use. If you are interest in getting the feel of these historic clubs I have a set you can borrow for a test run. Get in touch with me to have a go... best time is Friday afternoon. They have a great feel... the original carbon shaft. |
