Patrons Trophy Last month the Patrons Trophy, a foursomes handicap event over 18 holes, was held in conjunction with the Tom McKay Trophy qualifying round. Last Saturday our patron, Brian Lamb, presented the trophy to the winners, Terry Downing and Norris Dudgeon. As Brian explained at the presentation, this Trophy was introduced by Les Price in 1991, Club Patron 1987 to 1997, who firmly believed in the tradition of the foursomes format. Les was a former President and Captain of Bowral Golf Club as well as Mayor of Bowral. |

Last week the repairs started on the clubhouse roof to replace rusted sheeting and broken tiles to arrest the leaks which caused the ceiling damage some months ago. The building team worked efficiently to remove areas of tiles, instal sarking, replacing sarking boards and refitting the tiles. Cracked tiles have and are being replaced. While the recent strong westerly winds have been good for the course, not so great if you are working on a roof. Once this work is completed the internal repairs will commence. We will keep you posted on when this work will be done and the potential impact on club opening times. See the photos below, click on them to enlarge for more detail.
