Ken Dobie, winner of the Austen Richardson Memorial Trophy presented by Tom Angus A field of 71 players contested the Monthly Medal stroke round on Saturday. Medal winners were John Mellen, Ken Dobie and Ko Buisman who excelled and were awarded their Medals and a Scotch Glass memento of the occasion. The winner of the Austen Richardson Memorial Tankard was Ken Dobie with a 68 on a count back from John Mellen. For those who are not aware, the tankard was donated last year by Scott Campbell and presented by Austen's Grandson, Tom Angus. The winner, on this occasion Ken Dobie, who can ask any member during the month of March to refill the tankard with beer and offer a salute to Austen Richardson. The Captain filled the first request, so it is now open for any members who may run into Ken in the club.
