An update - this mornings picture from the Club House. This weather will, obviously, help dry the course out. However, this morning there is still a lot of surface water around the first 3 holes. We will continue to work towards carts being available as the course dries out.
Great to see that blue sky!!
It is great to see the sun shine and sunsets, yesterday and today. The day before the fog descended once the showers stopped, even more difficult to find your golf ball (picture).
The Saturday competition was decimated by the heavy rain storm at 6am in the morning. The afternoon cleared up to the point of some warmth from the sun. Three golfers took the challenge and played in the competition, two finished and one retired injured.
The greens are in great shape - thanks to Matt and the team.
A reduced field due to the weather and course conditions but 9 teams competed (4 swingers) and an equitable result was concluded President 4 1/2 to Captain 4 1/2. Till next year...
Dennis Neale and Tony Hobson combined to win with 41 points from Ash Southon and John Mellen with 40 points. NTP 11th hole won by John Jones and Bill Payne won the 14th Pro-pin.
Saturday - Single Stableford
As mentioned above the field of three started then reduced to two after the 6th hole, just as the sun started to appear. Winner was David Burgess with 34 points.
Sunday - Medley Stableford
A number of coastal visitors from Wollongong GC and Jamberoo GC played the competition, welcome to the highlands. Katie Dorahy from Jamberoo GC won with 37 points from Jacob Nicholls with 34 points.
