Golf is back on as of Wednesday. The course is still wet with surface water in those areas such as the 3rd fairway. The clear days and wind will assist in drying out the other areas of the course. The course looks fantastic - see the photo of the 18th hole taken this morning - but it is difficult to get the mowers on and around the course. Matt and the team are doing their very best given the conditions. |
Carts are not back on the course at this stage. A nine hole competition on a composite course (not handicapped) is available. Please call the Pro-Shop to book. The forecast for this week looks great and the BOM is currently forecasting the La Nina to reduce by early winter. See to the left for details , click to enlarge. A reminder to apply Rule 16.1e - see last weeks blog and notice boards. |

Well done to Terry Downing and Glen Walsh for finishing the round; Terry won with 31 points.
Upcoming Events...
The Arthur Brassey knock out will continue on a rescheduled time table during this period. I will contact those involved.
All monthly medals and trophy events will be rescheduled, but we will do this when we are more confident in the course conditions being suitable. I'll use this post to keep members informed. It will mean a busy schedule for the rest of the year. The Mi-club fixtures list has been updated to reflect the postponements.
The John Owens, JW Draper, Patron's Trophy (Foursomes Champ) and Mixed Foursomes Championship are all to be re-scheduled.
It has been an exceptionally difficult year for programming golf fixtures and needless to say we are "all over it" and are looking forward to getting back on the course and enjoying a few rounds.
Any questions please drop me a note - click here.
I'm looking forward to seeing you on the course playing golf, either playing the composite tie or all eighteen holes.
Best Regards,
